About Me

I am an Integrator of people and systems with a pioneering spirit. I have over 30 years of leadership, coaching, and sponsorship experience within an IT culture at a Fortune 50 company. I believe empathy is the most valuable skill to lead with in order to create and maintain trust. Trust is the foundation for all relationships and the difference between an engaged, safe, and thriving environment to one that has low morale and high turnover. I am driven and inspired to help organizations see and hear the talent that has been traditionally overlooked due to unconscious and very conscious bias against marginalized groups, BIPOC and LGBTQ+. This also includes introverts and highly sensitive people that many times get overlooked. 

I am one of these folks and I didn’t fit into the leadership box that I was consistently being evaluated against and it was exhausting and it effected my physiological safety and wellbeing. When I realized that there are people out there that could see my value and wanted to support me,  I built enough courage to start my own company. Through the process of finding my tribe, I realized that my empathy, is in fact my Superpower!    I want to change the narrative so that empathy, compassion and sensitivity will be valued in the business world and not seen as a weakness.  Along with creating an Inclusive environment & equitable  pay and promotional opportunities for women, BIPOC & LGBTQ+ folks in the workplace.

When you allow people to bring their authentic selves to work and empower them, wonderful things happen!

Mission

The company mission is to serve communities and corporations that are committed to Equity, Inclusion and fostering a workplace of belonging.  We provide strategies and ongoing partnerships to ensure lasting positive change within leadership and company culture. Our unique coaching approach is focused on empathetic leadership and healing current environments by elevating the work of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ employees within the organization. This will increase employee satisfaction which in turn will attract new talent, decrease turnover rates, and increase your company's revenue.

Sittig Two Breaths Collective

I started, Sittig Two Breaths Collective as my parent company and plan on having more than one brand in the near future.

The Hawaiian name for the manta ray is “hahalua,” which means “two breaths”.

I love learning and experiencing new cultures and fell in love with the Aloha culture of the Hawaiian people many years ago. I am also drawn to the magnificence of the ocean and strongly believe that we are at one with the planet. My heart connected with the spiritual meaning of the Manta Ray which symbolizes wisdom, grace, strength, flow, and collaboration.  Manta Rays are sensitive to the flow of energy and are more efficient by tapping into this flow and dancing with it as opposed to fighting it. They are very social and have been found to eat together by swimming in circles and taking turns being in front so they each get a turn getting the most plankton.

So much to love about the Manta ray's way of being it inspires me to embrace it and shine a light to help others see that we too can use our wisdom, grace and strength to create purposeful collaborations for a fulfilling life.   - Chris Sittig
